watched a movie instead

no fishing report but found this great air pressure site and can use the graphs to indicate when the fish were biting

graph

Theory is fish feed less when barometer changes, on the 18 th when i was at the wall clearly the barometer dropped 5 mb , coupled with big seas , less fish comming out, smaller fish ?

no Kob part7

So everything prepared, managed to catch some small harders, thought they would be better for live bait as would not attract such a big shark. Sea was hectic south easter blowing the water right over the top, one guy lost a fishing box and eventually all but me decided to head in.
tide
Arrived 6 :30
7:20 high.
left 12 00
caught 2 large sharks which one the line snapped or was bitten, the other the hook unravelled due to a bad knot.
No real good bites, switched to bait after Charles was getting bites and three small kob were landed on the other side.

Big Shark on Live Bait, Still No COb

Time : 7: 30 - 10
Bait Mullet live Bait, first mullet using my cast net.
Cast off kalk bay wall as the edge was crowded
after 45 rod started doing crazy things, fish had swum towards the wall and the line went slack,
took up the slack and felt the biggest fish, took it close to the wall, but rod was bending seriously fish dived every time i bought it near the surface, another fisherman close by walked over and pronounced shark and tried to lift it using the line but the line snapped at the hook.
So needed a gaff, wonder if they make telescoping gaffs ?
Other mullet fell prey to a kelpfish, so there went slider and all.
My last live bait disappeared without a knock. So a blank evening. But at least i caught a shark on live bait.
"The cob were biting earlier 6-8 and i think they swim in around six and the vanish by nine, so tonight will launch offensive, with live bait and fresh! 5-9
I spent a great but unproductive day at broken road, yday. At around 5 i decided to go give the wall in Kalkbay a try. After about 1.5hrs of nothing happening i was about to head home, this timer pitch's up. He says "Dont pack up now.... The kob started coming out around 7 last night!" So me ever up for the chance to hook into something, i decided to stick around for another half hour.... 10min later it began!! There were about 30 fish that came out in about a hour. That was between 6 guys.:fishn" this from sealines' JAzz Agrees with my theory

First fish on kayak

Went out on sunday with Wilma on Kayak. Left from Simonstown 10. am, Spring low,

Bait was stripped off fast, cotton slowed it down
Landed a 30 cm Red Roman,
and kept 7 Steentjies, should of weighed them .
